All About Us

The Universal Shorei-Goju Karate System is black owned and operated by Shujin Master Ben Peacock who designed and founded the system. The system was developed to level the playing field for smaller and presumed underdog martial artist who were up against greater odds of survival simply based on their petite size. Shujin Master Peacock, an electro-mechanical engineer, coupled trigonometry and martial arts movements to create a base foundation for the system. He then developed an approach to self defense by relating the fundamentals to a circle, a triangle and a square. To compound the three objects, he created a methodology of defense to a fraction theory called "The 2/5th theory". Based on these theories and fundamentals, a new system of karate was created and developed. The system is called "Universal Shorei-Goju Karate System" as the Universal language is math and the system was based on math properties.

There are only 3 system of karate to date owned and operated by black individuals and each have their story about how their fate was to head their prospective system and those systems are:

1. The Universal Shorei-Goju Karate System - Headed by Shujin Master Ben Peacock
2. The Universal Karate System - Headed by Grandmaster James A. Jones
3. Shorei-Goju Shisutemu - Headed by Grandmaster Preston Baker
